I do love to knit, especially socks and after a while I got ideas of socks I wanted to try to create, so I started writing sock patterns. I have also written a few shawl patterns, one using sock yarn, obviously, and the other specifically made for hand spun yarn, and making sure to use every last bit of it.
This scarf pattern plays with the crazy colours and fun possibilities of commercial self striping sock yarn.
This pattern calls for about 300g of self striping sock yarn. You will need at least three or four contrasting colours, colours that you think will look good blended together. Contrast and lots of colours is good.
Don’t be afraid to be a little crazy in your colour choices.
