I do love to knit, especially socks and after a while I got ideas of socks I wanted to try to create, so I started writing sock patterns. I have also written a few shawl patterns, one using sock yarn, obviously, and the other specifically made for hand spun yarn, and making sure to use every last bit of it.
Sweden is a monarchy and I actually live on an island in the same lake as the royal family, they are on a different island though, but there is a bridge in between. During the last few years we Swedes have watched as our crown Princess, yes she will inherit the throne, as she fell in love and married a man of the people, and later how a new little princess arrived.
I wonder how that blue blooded thing got started, anyway, here is a pair of royal blue socks with golden beads set in a rhomboid pattern. Lets all have a little bit of royal flair!
You will need:
100g, 400m of a fingering weight yarn. Used here was Opal Uni Solid.
2mm circular needle for magic loop knitting, or 1 set of dpns.
576 size 6 seed beads of your choice. I have used a light golden metallic bead. Just make sure they are large enough to thread on the yarn.
